At Katie Montgomery Design, we believe the best interiors tell a story—one that reflects who you are, what you’ve done, and where you want to go.

That philosophy comes from my own background. It began with antiquing trips with my mom, which sparked a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and the history of vintage pieces. I later studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and became a production designer for film, where I learned how every detail contributes to a larger narrative. My time in the corporate world then sharpened my ability to bring creative visions to life by collaborating across diverse teams and disciplines.

Today, I bring all of that experience into my design work. I see myself as a creative partner: someone who listens closely, helps clients clarify their vision, and creates layered, thoughtful interiors that feel deeply personal.

Antiques and vintage finds are central to our process. They offer character, sustainability, and a sense of continuity. By reworking and reintegrating pieces with history, we add richness to a space while also reducing environmental impact.

Our goal is to design homes that feel intentional, collected, and lived-in from day one. We aim to create spaces that honor our clients’ past, support their present, and inspire where they are headed next.
